What is a refining furnace?
When the refining furnace is smelting stainless steel, it is necessary to blow oxygen into the molten steel. At the same time, inert gases argon (Ar) and nitrogen (N2) are also blown in it. Doing like this will reduce the carbon content in the stainless steel to a very low level. Blowing inert gas also inhibits the oxidation of chromium in stainless steel. Stainless steel produced by refining furnaces has low carbon content, less impurities, and good retention of useful elements such as chromium. Therefore, the 304 stainless steel pipe produced by the refining furnace has high ductility. This feature can well meet the complex stainless steel pipe rounding, bending, flaring and necking and other processing. Less impurities can complete the high-requirement fine polishing process.
What is a intermediate frequency furnaces?
The intermediate frequency furnace generates a magnetic field through alternating current. And by heating the metal in the furnace for steelmaking, the carbon content cannot be reduced during steelmaking, and impurities in the metal cannot be removed. The 304 stainless steel pipe made of stainless steel strip produced by the intermediate frequency furnace has poor ductility, and the stainless steel pipe has poor performance in rounding, bending, flaring and shrinking. The impurity content in the stainless steel tube is high, and the requirement of fine polishing cannot be fulfilled.
Because the price of the intermediate frequency furnace is lower than that of the refining furnace. At present, there are still a large number of stainless steel pipes for intermediate frequency furnaces in the stainless steel pipe market, and there is not much difference on the surface. But we can't be greedy to buy cheap stainless steel pipes for intermediate frequency furnaces. When we buy them back to make stainless steel products, it will happen that 304 stainless steel pipes fail to meet the product requirements.
