China’s growing demand for quality wines has led Australian winemakers to establish a new winery on Australian soil. This winery is Australia's third largest winery, most of the equipment is made of stainless steel, with a total weight of more than 800 tons.

After the construction of the Veyron Winery was completed in March 2019, grape pressing began to export wine. It is expected that the wine will be bottled before the end of the year to celebrate the Chinese New Year in January 2020. ASSDA member and accredited manufacturer A&G Engineering designed, manufactured, delivered and installed all stainless steel storage and processing vessels for the new brewery. The scope of the project is to achieve an annual wine intake of more than 26,000 tons, equivalent to 21 million liters of wine.

Due to its excellent corrosion resistance, durability and easy cleaning characteristics, stainless steel was selected as the material of choice for wine-making equipment. In addition, the use of stainless steel will not bring additional flavor to the wine, thus retaining the original flavor of the grapes. A total of 304 304 / 304L grade stainless steel tanks-124 storage tanks, 42 fermentation tanks and 14 conventional processing tanks with a capacity between 30kL and 1200kL-and related stair towers, platforms, walkways, supporting structures and connections were delivered. . ASSDA member Outokumpu provided 700 tons of 2mm-6mm stainless steel coils for the project. In addition, A&G stainless steel sales department is also responsible for providing more than 15 kilometers of main grade 304 steel pipes (ranging from 20mm to 300mm in size) and all related accessories.

A&G used its own fully automatic plasma TIG welding process to manufacture two 1200kL storage tanks on site, and all the containers have been passivated to improve corrosion resistance for use in manufacturing storage tanks. This unique production method is also designed to better construct large-capacity stainless steel containers on site, which allows A&G to customize containers with a capacity of more than 5 million liters. Site PAM's automatic polishing system can compress welds under high pressure to ensure that there are no gaps inside or outside the tank, thereby providing a beautiful appearance and a flat surface for automatic polishing applications.
