Stainless steel imports increased by 17%, exports increased by 8%

From January to October 2020, the cumulative volume of domestic stainless steel imports was approximately 1.345 million tons, an increase of 38.28% year-on-year; the cumulative volume of exports was approximately 2.689 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 11%.

The return of Philippine nickel mines drops 16%

In October 2020, the domestic import of nickel ore was about 5.098 million tons, a decrease of 17.9% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 25.6%. Among them: the import of nickel ore from the Philippines was about 4.592 million tons, a decrease of 16.3% month-on-month; an increase of 36% year-on-year. The import volume of nickel ore from Indonesia was about 110,000 tons, a decrease of 62.8% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 96.5%.

Indonesia's ferronickel return home drops 26%

From January to October 2020, the cumulative domestic imports of ferronickel was about 2.718 million tons, an increase of 83% year-on-year; of which: the cumulative amount of ferronickel imported from Indonesia was about 2.159 million tons, an increase of 107% year-on-year.
