Following the Shenzhen PingAn Building, another stainless steel landmark building, the China Resources Building, rose from the ground in 2018.
The China Resources Building is designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates. It adopts the dense column frame-core tube structure system. The outer frame is composed of 56 stainless steel steel columns. The bottom of the building is composed of 28 columns to form a diamond shape. Formally, the glass curtain wall supporting the building does not require internal pillars, and it is a single building with the largest number of steel columns in the existing super high-rise structure.
The building is located in the coastal area of Shenzhen, and the environment is highly corrosive. In order to make the building have a long service life and reduce the required maintenance, the designer wisely chose the 316L stainless steel with good corrosion resistance, embossed surface with flax pattern, the amount is about 1,000 tons.
This "spring bamboo shoots", which combines the beauty of architecture and art, become the tallest building in Shenzhen Bay in the west and the third tallest building in Shenzhen with a tall and straight posture.
