According to CNBC, kumpran and other media sources, on the afternoon of December 14, 2020, Indonesia's Jiangsu Delong nickel Industrial Park, located in Southeast Sulawesi province, broke out a riot of Indonesian workers.
According to the scene photos, angry workers set fire to cranes working in the workshop, trucks in the industrial park, and many appliances inside and outside the factory building. The fire was swift and violent, accompanied by workers' shouting. According to CNBC, the local senior police officer (akbp), Yudi krisatanto, said at first the local workers demonstrated peacefully at the company entrance. However, when they tried to break into the factory area, they clashed with security.
After the incident, the Indonesian Mobile Police Brigade (brimob) and the Indonesian National Army (TNI) sent military and police to the Chinese enterprise factory where the riot occurred.
