Product Details

Stainless steel 201 coil has good formability, corrosion resistance and machinability. SS 201 steel coil is similar to SS 301. These Stainless Steel 201 Coils (UNS S20100) are an austenitic chromium-nickel-manganese stainless steel originally developed for nickel protection. As mentioned above, these SS 201 coils (DIN 1.4372) were originally developed for nickel protection and are characterized by a low nickel content.

Alloy 201 plate is a low cost alternative to traditional Cr-Ni stainless steels such as 301 and 304. At the same time, about half of the nickel content in stainless steel 304 is replaced by alloys with added manganese and nitrogen. This results in higher strength than alloy 304.
